24Investment Goal
Pin Oak Equity Fund seeks long-term capital growth by investing primarily in stocks of any size selected for their growth potential at attractive prices.
Investment Approach
Pin Oak invests primarily in common stocks of U.S. companies. The Fund will generally hold between 25 and 40 common stocks. Our investment process is both top-down and bottom-up; the process involves identifying what we believe to be the most attractive sectors and then narrowing the search to individual stocks, where we employ both quantitative and qualitative factors. The Manager focuses on the long-term merits of an investment, placing significant weight on the durability of the business and the company’s valuation. Perhaps the greatest asset of the fund is the longer time horizon – relative to other market participants. An increasingly short-term oriented market affords greater opportunity for long-term investors, especially when the manager is willing to concentrate in a limited number of sectors and hold out-of-consensus positions. We believe that focusing on the long-term, emphasizing what matters (durability and valuation), and being willing to go against the crowd give us the best chance to outperform the benchmark and our peers over the long-term.

Important Risk Information:
Mutual fund investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal. Funds that emphasize investments in technology generally will experience greater price volatility. There are additional risks associated with investing in a single-sector fund with a limited number of holdings versus a more broadly diversified portfolio, including greater sensitivity to economic, political, or regulatory developments impacting the sector. Diversification does not ensure a profit or guarantee against loss. Funds that emphasize investments in smaller or mid-sized companies may experience greater price volatility. Funds that emphasize investments in larger companies may underperform and be unable to respond quickly to new competitive challenges and may not be able to attain the high growth rate of successful smaller companies. Growth investing has the risk of being more sensitive to changes in current or expected earnings.
The security holdings are presented to illustrate examples of the securities that the fund has bought an the diversity of areas in which the funds may invest, and may not be representative of the fund's current or future investments.
