Akron, Ohio – July 20, 2018
Red Oak Technology Select Fund (ROGSX) has been named to Charles Schwab’s (“Schwab”) Mutual Fund OneSource Select List™ and Schwab’s Mutual Fund Select List Advisor Edition™ for the third quarter of 2018. The Select List is a list of no-load funds that have passed a rigorous screening for performance, risk and expenses by Charles Schwab Investment Advisory, Inc. The Select List Advisor Edition™ is a list of funds available to independent investment advisors without a load or transaction fee that have distinguished themselves under a stringent quantitative and qualitative analysis by Charles Schwab Investment Advisory, Inc.
“We’re pleased that Red Oak was chosen for the Technology Sector fund category of Charles Schwab’s Mutual Fund Select Lists,” says Portfolio Manager Mark Oelschlager, CFA. “One thing we think differentiates Red Oak from other technology funds is that we tend to avoid hot growth stories. Our experience tells us that most of these tend to fall short of high expectations and thus erode long-term portfolio returns. We focus more on sustainability of the business, competitive advantages, and valuation.”
“Red Oak adheres to our firm’s long-held investment philosophy, which is to invest for the long-term, concentrate in our best ideas and remain fully invested.”
Red Oak Technology Select Fund invests primarily in technology companies. The investment process involves identifying what the manager believes are the most attractive areas within technology and then narrowing the search to individual stocks. Stock selection is based on the assessment of a company’s fundamental outlook, and the Fund can invest in companies of any size.

Actively managed Schwab Mutual Fund OneSource funds, including Schwab Affiliate Funds, are evaluated by CSIA (Charles Schwab Investment Advisory, Inc.) based on a quantitative analysis of risk, performance, expenses, active share (when meaningful), assets under management, and asset flows. CSIA may also apply additional qualitative factors to its analysis to enhance its overall evaluation of a fund, including, for example, changes in a fund's investment strategy or management structure, portfolio manager tenure, whether a fund's investment style and portfolio holdings are representative of its investment category, portfolio composition and turnover rates, consistency of a fund's performance and CSIA's evaluation of the fund over time, and other risk and diversification considerations.
