Individual Account

A regular taxable account for investors over 18 years of age and registered in one person's name. The minimum investment to open an account is $2000 per Fund (or $1000 with a monthly Systematic Investment Plan).

Joint Account

A taxable account owned equally by two or more individuals and subject to the rights of survivorship. The minimum investment to open an account is $2000 per Fund (or $1000 with a monthly Systematic Investment Plan).

Uniform Gift (UGMA)/Transfer to Minor (UTMA)

A taxable account funded by an irrevocable financial gift/transfer to a minor and controlled by a custodian (adult) until the child reaches the age of maturity. The type of account you can open as well as the age of maturity depends on the adult's state of residence. The minimum investment to open an account is $2000 per Fund (or $1000 with a monthly Systematic Investment Plan).

Trust Account

Investment accounts opened by an established trust are called Trust Accounts. The minimum investment to open an account is $2,000 for any Fund. Any subsequent investments must be at least $50.

Corporate Account

Investments accounts opened by an established corporation are called Corporate Accounts. The minimum investment to open an account is $2,000 for any Fund. Any subsequent investments must be at least $50.

When opening an account, be sure to include the name of the corporation or other entity on the application, as well as the taxpayer identification number. You will also need to provide a corporate resolution that identifies individuals authorized to conduct transactions on this account.
